United Way honors SHAZAM as LIVE UNITED Champion

SHAZAM^® was presented with a LIVE UNITED Champion award at United Way of Central Iowa’s LIVE UNITED celebration, honoring organizations for exceptional community engagement. SHAZAM employees made a record-breaking contribution to the organization this year, increasing the company’s overall corporate giving by nearly 10% compared with the previous year.

“A big part of our company culture is uniting employees around the shared goal of giving back,” said SHAZAM EVP and CHRO Jackie Rolow. “We’re committed to making a lasting impact in our community through continued support of United Way of Central Iowa.”

LIVE UNITED Champions are recognized for outstanding contributions over the past year. Through United Way and other initiatives, honorees demonstrate a sustained commitment to improving quality of life across central Iowa.

“The annual LIVE UNITED event celebrates corporations, organizations and individuals who work to build an equitable, engaged and empowered community,” said United Way of Central Iowa President Mary Sellers. “SHAZAM is improving lives through corporate engagement campaigns, volunteer efforts and activities that help create a thriving community. We are proud to recognize their impact.”

SHAZAM supports all five elements of United Way’s thriving community framework, with a particular focus on early childhood and education success. Employees donated more than 3,000 books during United Way’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign and volunteered in local elementary classrooms through the Day of Action: Read to Succeed initiative.

Team members also support the Book Buddy program, help assemble literacy kits and volunteer as Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Iowa mentors throughout the year.
