Dan leads SHAZAM’s government relations at the local, state and federal levels and oversees community affairs with government agencies, nonprofit organizations and private companies.
He brings 24 years of experience in merchant portfolio management, electronic funds transfer sales and EFT marketing.
Dan joined SHAZAM in 1999 as a merchant product manager and became senior vice president of merchant services in 2001. He later moved to senior vice president of marketing and merchant services in 2006 and assumed his current role in 2016.
Dan has served on the Iowa Grocery Industry Association board since 2007, including a term as chair. He has also served as president of Prevent Child Abuse Iowa and currently sits on the boards of the Midwest Retail & Grocery Alliance and the YMCA of Greater Des Moines.
