Amy joined SHAZAM in 2007 as a compliance analyst, moved to the legal department in 2013 and was promoted to executive vice president and general counsel in 2017. Today, she oversees operating rules, contracts, processing agreements, regulatory matters and corporate governance for SHAZAM and its affiliates. Amy also advises on industry issues and maintains strong relationships with regulators, government agencies and trade associations while guiding risk management and compliance efforts for SHAZAM and its clients.
Before joining SHAZAM, she worked in retail and compliance roles at community-based financial institutions.
Amy is active with the Polk County Bar Association, the National Association of Corporate Counsel and the Iowa State Bar Association's e‑commerce section. She is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and serves on the board of Healthy Birthday, Inc., supporting the Count the Kicks public health campaign.
She earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Iowa and her Juris Doctor from Gonzaga University School of Law.
